Originally I just wanted to paint just an astronaut on the moon, with the Earth in the background, so it escalated rather quickly to the moon being cheese, and having 2 astronauts having a picnic. I had a hard choice between using the progressive flag and making a painting of satire, or using the American flag. In the end I finally went for the American flag, as I wanted to enjoy looking at it!
This image is printed on hahnemühle photo luster 260gsm. Photo Luster is a microporous, resin coated photo paper with a beautiful luster surface. It features a bright white and consistently smooth surface. Its weight provides a higher stability than many other photo papers and guarantees long lasting, fade resistant prints.
