I loved painting this painting. Sometimes when I start a painting, I still don’t have the full picture in my mind, this painting being a good example. I started off with Van Gogh, then the rest just fell into place! I hummed and harred for a while whether to put myself or another painter on the end, then plumped for myself, with the pint of beer covering me, as it was a bit audacious of me, putting myself in such company; but I did used to like a drink!
This image is printed on hahnemühle photo luster 260gsm. Photo Luster is a microporous, resin coated photo paper with a beautiful luster surface.
