The canvas depth is 2cm (3/4 inch).
This painting came about due to wanting to do a painting of Dame Maggie Smith, and Miriam Margoyles, loving the interation between the two, in interviews about each other. The main issue was what would be the background. Well loving and wanting to paint New Mexico, the decision was made, and then it just took on a story of its own!
